The Ordos

Flying Robot Babies and Slithering Robot Prosthesis, oh my.

The air in the complex is try and charged with static. a deep rhythmic thrumming can be felt faintly in the floor
GM:
how are you moving through the complex?

Commissar 314159:
With style.

Sun Chu Sing:
“What can you tell us about this facility Stigatus?”

  • Reestheus searches the bodies of the tech priests.
    GM:
You find a number of technical whatsits and fetishes to the machine gods
    GM:
    God… singular
  • Commissar 314159 turns towards the Tech-Priest, “You’d be more familiar with such an installation. Any suggestions?”

Reestheus:
Just a bunch of junk…
Stigatus:
“These are not the markings of the mechanicus, they have been altered…”

  • Stigatus shows a normal mechanicus symbol

Stigatus:
“Note the duality of the machine, and the flesh, these symbols are all machine”

Stigatus:
“I think its clear we’re dealing with some heritek offshoot”

Reestheus:
Naturally…

Atella:
gm does scholastic lore legend help here? or occult, xenos, cults or heresy?

Stigatus:
ok

Sun Chu Sing:
Skill Check 8 VS. Target Number 43 Success!

Stigatus:
Skill Check 60 VS. Target Number 50 Failure!

Atella:
Skill Check 70 VS. Target Number 42 Failure!

Commissar 314159:
“We can assume then that everyone here is heretical, and worthy of summary execution?”

Stigatus:
“Seems likely, you saw their reaction”

Stigatus:
“We should be cautious, they are very heavily modified with bionic prosthetics

  • Atella closes her eyes and steals herself away for a moment at the thought of such an abomination. All machine, no man. Heresy.
  • Commissar 314159 adjusts his cap, then checks his weapons and gear before nodding at Stigatus, “Anything we should look for? Weak points or what have you.”
Suddenly the gravity in the room pulses and gets stronger. Though you are still able to move you can feel its pull strongly.

Stigatus:
“I recomend headshots”
atella there are several passages which look nearly identical

Stigatus:
“We should push onward”

  • Commissar 314159 instinctively turns toward Sing

Reestheus:
They probably know we are here

  • Atella looks to Stigatus to chose a path.
  • Sun Chu Sing catches the Commissar looking at him It wasn’t me
    GM:
One path leads off closer to the surface while the second goes deeper into the frament

Stigatus:
“It would seem logical to head deeper into the facility”

  • Stigatus points in the direction heading inward

Sun Chu Sing:
I guess psyn

Sun Chu Sing:
Skill Check 58 VS. Target Number 43 Failure!

Commissar 314159:
“Makes enough sense, inward it is.”

  • Commissar 314159 begins to move in the direction Stigatus pointed, “What are their bionics capable of Tech-Priest?”

Stigatus:
“Increased strength, faster speed powerful logic processing…. and then there is the more exotic bionics”

  • Sun Chu Sing draws his hotshot las-pistol and follows the Commissar.
As you leave the landing bay the gravity slowly begins to return to normal with occasional nausiating surges.

Stigatus:
“Electrical discharges, magnetic levitation, rapid healing”

Reestheus:
Might as well be goddamned Necrons…

Commissar 314159:
“Anyone have an explanation for those fluctuations? Is it simply the nature of this… structure?”

Stigatus:
“unknown”

Atella:
“A facility of this size, what is it’s purpose?”

  • Atella asks the Tech Priest.

Stigatus:
“given its location…. observation?”

Atella:
“Will there be a centeralized command area or other locations of interest such as an armoury?”

Thracia:
Are we not seeking the source of this signal?

Reestheus:
Or a vault, maybe?

  • Atella nods and says “Yes a religuiry of some type?”
You pass several large bay doors. After passing several you come to one standing open with several mono-task servitors unloading crates under the supervision of a minor priest..
  • Stigatus motions to the others to wait

Thracia:
((quick bio))

  • Sun Chu Sing broadcasts his thoughts to the group, IF we take him alive we can interrogate him for information
  • Stigatus stands straight and walks confidently towards the priest
  • Commissar 314159 pauses at the edge of the door and stands with his arms folded behind his back in wait

Stigatus:
“initiate! come here”

  • Atella readies her laz rifle.

Thracia:
((back))
GM:
The initiate hurries over with a squelch of binary.

  • Reestheus watches the rear, anxious.
  • Stigatus switches to binary

Stigatus:
“I am magos Stigatus, command has sent me to inspect this instalation, why was there no envoy awaiting me in the docking bay?”

Tech Priest 1:
Yes magos. We are in preperation for Securitas Protocol Alpha Zero One. We have 0:23:34:02 until Phase one is engaged.

Tech Priest 1:
All personel are in contemplation until the Commanded otherwise

Stigatus:
“excellent, then there is sufficient time for a full inspection before phase one commences, You will escort me and my boadyguards to command immediately, phase one must commence according to schedule!”

  • Atella glowers at Sun, walks up to him, and nearly drills her pointer finger into his chest.

Tech Priest 1:
All hail the Omnisiah!

Atella:
“Stay out of my mind, witch. Continue to violate it and I will have you tried for witchcraft!”

  • Stigatus nods
    GM:
The techpriest commands the servitors to continue unloading the crates and begins to head for the corridor
  • Stigatus motions for his “bodyguards” to follow
  • Atella stars daggers at the witch before walking off in a huff to be a “bodyguard”
As you walk, the techpriest begins to speak in a heavily digitized voice…
  • Reestheus exhales and follows.

Sun Chu Sing:
“I’m a sanctioned by the Adeptus Astra Telepathica, raised up by Lord Marr to serve man, and the most holy Emperor. I suggest you request reassignment if you truely have a problem working with me.”

  • Atella whinces at the sounds of the priest.

Tech Priest 1:
My apologies magos. We were not told of of your arrival. Where were you coming from again?

  • Atella says over her shoulder, “Sanctioning does not allow you to violate my mind at your leisure, witch.”

Stigatus:
“I have just returned from a discrete meeting with our opratives on the lathes themselves, all there goes according to plan. This is my last inspection before the coming event”

Tech Priest 1:
Yes lord
Reestheus is disconnected.
GM:
the Tech Priest continues to lead you deeper into the complex.

Sun Chu Sing:
“Perhaps you’d prefer me to have shouted our intentions.”

Tech Priest 1:
You’ll excuse my saying so lord Magos. These bodyguards do not seem properly gifted to be present during our glorious triumph

Atella:
“Discreet communication is possible without your intrusions.”

  • Commissar 314159 removes his cap and turns his head to display his orthoproxy

Stigatus:
“They are trophies, each a inquisitorial agent sent against me, each failed, and has been brought under my command with extensive cranial bionic modifications… sadly it has not stopped their bickering”

Tech Priest 1:
I see lord. As you will.

Stigatus:
“When we rise to glory, and trancend the weakness of flesh, I will no longer require such meatshields, untill then, they serve their purpose… if only they would SHUT THEIR FACES

  • Atella narrows her vision on the Tech Priest.

Atella:
but remains silent.

  • Commissar 314159 replaces his cap and adjusts it once more
After leading you though several twists and turns and passes a massive security checkpoint
While the checkpoint is impressive and manned by several heavy servitors wielding all manner of techno arcane weaponry you also view a skulking figure darting between consoles and servitors. You cant see it particularly well

Sun Chu Sing:
“My thoughts are the only completely secure method of communication. But you can be excluded for future communication.”
Reestheus has connected.

  • Atella nods at the witch.
  • Commissar 314159 makes an effort to observe the curious figure

Sun Chu Sing:
Skill Check 65 VS. Target Number 43 Failure!

Commissar 314159:
Skill Check 86 VS. Target Number 33 Failure!

Reestheus:
Skill Check 99 VS. Target Number 41 Failure!

  • Commissar 314159 looks out from behind his respirator but can’t discern anything meaningful
  • Atella seems everyone trying to make something out and looks over.

Atella:
Skill Check 87 VS. Target Number 16 Failure!

Thracia:
Skill Check 97 VS. Target Number 30 Failure!

Commissar 314159:
(Thracia caught her reflection off a particularly shiny part of a machine gun nest and became hopelessly distracted)
After several minutes of walking, you finally come before a massive set of blast doors. The doors slide open with a hiss and reveal a massive tiered command center. Hundreds of priests man lecterns surrounded by an upper ring of nearly 50 servitors

  • Reestheus stares mouth agape.
A vast array of Pict screens of varying sizes cover the walls, each displaying a dizzying stream of machine code, graphs and pict -thief captures from all over the comet.
You say to the GMs: I want to look around the room for anywhere that might be a vaccum into space
    GM whispers: like an airlock?
You say to the GMs: or some kind of porthole
Grating machine code blurts from the overhead vox-horns, the atonal chatter conveying far more data than spoken words with each burst.
GM whispers: you are far to the interior of the comet fragment. There is no external port here.
  • Stigatus looks uneasily at the others
You say to the GMs: how about some strucural weakness? A support beam that looks particularly burdened and cumbersome?
The air here is stale and acidic. Cyber-cherubs haunting the vaulted ceiling look more than a little feral and seem almost malnourished A low atonal buzz is audible just at the edge of hear
GM whispers: it seems to be built with typical mechanicum thouroughness and attention to detail.
  • Commissar 314159 seems unphased at the new surroundings, at least as far as body language can tell

the Door across the room slides upen revleaing a crimson robed techpriest excorted by several wicked looking murder servitors. Affixed to the Priests back are several large bubbling tanks of some sort of foul ungent. Several mechadendrites ending in evil looking surgical tools writhe restelessly behind him like figting snakes.

  • Stigatus thinks loudly to himself in the hopes sun hears him “I imagine that is the man in charge of all this”

Sun Chu Sing:
Skill Check 32 VS. Target Number 43 Success!
Like you, Arch Magos Thirvon has arrived to witness the glorious culmination of our ancient plan.

Stigatus:
“such is to be expected”

Sun Chu Sing:
(BRB purple drink

  • Sun Chu Sing directs his thoughts to the others excluding Atella I believe you to be correct Stigatus, this must be their master.
  • Stigatus concentrates inwards "Would should we do, we are greatly outnumbered, but I suspect the ruse this initiate has fallen for will fall apart when confronted with a arch magos
    Thracia is disconnected.
  • Atella whispers to the cadre: “That’s Arch Heretek Thrivon. He was excommunicated for disfiguring thousands of colonists on Ix.”

Sun Chu Sing:
A spell make his mind pliable enough that he might just allow us to leave. Though dabbling in the warp can have unforeseen consequences. I will leave the final decision to those who have decided to open their minds to my gift. Suns thoughts echo through the minds of the group except Atella.

  • Reestheus shit shit shit shit
  • Reestheus tries to control his thoughts.

Tech Priest 1:
I will summon he interlocutor for the High Magos who will be able to assist you further.

  • Tech Priest 1 walks toward the center of the room
As the priest continues toward the center of the room, an announcement blares from the vox hailers.
HAIL THE OMNISSIAH, Securitas Protocol Alpha Zero One engaged in eight minutes. All tier three personnel report to station. All tier Two personnel to ready state. All Tier One personnel stand by.
  • Atella “Tech Priest, what is this Protocol?”
  • Commissar 314159 watches for the Arch Magos’ reaction
  • Stigatus shrugs at atella
  • Stigatus thinks to himself, “I suspect we arrived just in time to stop something profoundly foul from happening, I as yet do not know what”
In the tunnels behind you a steady stream of low ranking priests, servants and mono-task servitors begin to fill the halls

Reestheus:
We’re getting surrounded…

  • Commissar 314159 slowly moves to the back of the cadre, surrepticiously checking for any reactions after each step

Atella:
“Stigatus, is there anything in this room that can be made to release the machine spirit within and by the Emporer, destroy these hereteks?”

  • Stigatus slowly shuffles over towards a cogitator trying to get lost in the mass of techpriests

Atella:
“Perhaps a holy food system for the machine spirits? Somewhere else in this facility?”

The priests are working feverishly on some unknown project.
