The Ordos

A Salt and Battery.

We begin the first step of the Grand Transformation, and will no longer rely on weak flesh to walk the stars. Warp breach phase conductors operational. Predicted pseudo-astronomican aetheric beacon effect within established perameters.
GM:
Commissar 314159 swings the lasgun back into place and makes his way past the checkpoint You move deeper into the complex with emergency lights flickering and claxons blaring behind you. You come to a branch in the corredor. One direction is marked Armory, the other, Holding Battery

Reestheus:
Armory sounds promising
GM:
The walls in the junction seem to momentarily ripple as if made of water. Something is horribly wrong.

Reestheus:
Then again, we might not have time to peruse

  • Sun Chu Sing heads down the hall towards the holding battery, “There’s no time.”

Stigatus:
“An armory is unlikely to stop whatever that was”

Commissar 314159:
“Any thoughts on how to proceed, Tech-Priest?”

Stigatus:
“Looks like holding cells? Lets inquire.”

  • Stigatus approaches the servitor alone

Stigatus:
in binary Servitor, are these rooms occupied currently?

Excrutiator Servitor:
in Machine Cant Present credentials

  • Commissar 314159 holds back, moving far enough to the side to allow the Commissar a clean line towards the servitor.

Stigatus:
Skill Check 8 VS. Target Number 70 Success!

  • Stigatus confidently bursts out a short string of binary

Excrutiator Servitor:
Credentials accepted. Cell 302-34 is occupied

  • Reestheus scans the corridor for the cell.

Stigatus:
“Open Cell 302-34”

Excrutiator Servitor:
This servitor is mono-tasked to area defense.

Stigatus:
“Servitor, deactivate”

Excrutiator Servitor:
Stasis mode.

  • Stigatus looks arround for cell 302-34
    GM:
The doors are clearly marked. You locate the cell

Stigatus:
“Can you open these doors Reestheus?”

  • Reestheus looks for some sort of interface
    GM:
    (security)

Commissar 314159:
“Hiver, find a way into this cell.”

Reestheus:
Skill Check 7 VS. Target Number 44 Success!

Reestheus:
Not all that different from the forges…
GM:
Reestheus deftly pops the panel off the maglock panel and in just a few moments, the door screeches open
GM:
Inside is a gaunt unconcious man. his face is covered in bandages.
Thracia is disconnected.

  • Commissar 314159 turns toward Sing, “Anything unnatural coming off him?”

Reestheus:
I was expecting more demons

Sun Chu Sing:
Skill Check 67 VS. Target Number 38 Failure!
GM:
the man mutters and stirs slightly

Commissar 314159:
“Well, at least we know he’s alive.”

Reestheus:
So who is he?
GM:
The bulkheads lurch sickeningly again

  • Stigatus walkes over and kicks the man lightly
  • Commissar 314159 stabilizes himself on a nearby frame
    GM:
The man groans and rolls away from you. The bandages fall away from his face and you see his face is covered in partially healed scar tissue and weeping cuts. You clearly see his eyes are burnt from their sockets and the tattoos of the Navis Nobilae peak through the scars
    GM:
He sits upright turning to face you with his empty eyes.
  • Commissar 314159 turns to face the man, glass lenses reflecting the eyeless sockets

Reestheus:
Who are you?

Sun Chu Sing:
Skill Check 5 VS. Target Number 38 Success!

  • Reestheus readies his rifle.

Ballis Aleene:
My name? My name, my name, my name…

Ballis Aleene:
Ballis! Ballis Aleene!

  • Ballis Aleene struggles to his feet

Stigatus:
“Why are you being kept here”

Ballis Aleene:
It’s not like the Brotherhood to treat with such plesantries. No brothers you!

Stigatus:
“obviously”

Ballis Aleene:
Ah me, ah me! They delve into things that Mankind should leave well alone! They ask they ask!

Stigatus:
“how do we stop them”

Ballis Aleene:
I know I know! But who are you? A dream, a spectre of madness?!

  • Ballis Aleene hits himself in the face several times

Stigatus:
“The hand of the Emperor”

Commissar 314159:
“What is the Grand Transformation?”

Ballis Aleene:
To move as they should not! It will not work! They… and you cannot see as I see.

Sun Chu Sing:
“What is it you see?”

Ballis Aleene:
The hand? Which hand?

  • Ballis Aleene stops for a moment, staring at sun with his empty eyes.

Sun Chu Sing:
“We must know what you know.”

Ballis Aleene:
Ah you. You can see. They wish to stand in the light! They seek to make their own!

Commissar 314159:
“The Left Hand.”

Sun Chu Sing:
“Thats not possible.”

Ballis Aleene:
I tell them and I tell them but they cannot see. They know not and risk all
GM:
Social skills will work here if you’d like to utilize them

Sun Chu Sing:
“Tell me what I need to know, navigator, or I shall take the knowlege from you.”
You say to the GMs: does command count

Ballis Aleene:
TAKE?! You see what they’ve done? And still they cannot take! What chance do you stand

  • Ballis Aleene frowns
    Ballis Aleene whispers: absolutely

Reestheus:
Skill Check 13 VS. Target Number 45 Success!

Stigatus:
would you guys rather have Stuffed Flounder or Talapia Francaise as a fish choice at rehersal dinner
GM:
Im on a super low carb diet now so whatever has less sauce and is not covered in bread

  • Commissar 314159 looks down at the man, “Navigator Aleene, stand fast. You are bound by creed and oath to assist his Holy Ordos. Answer our queries, or procede at your own peril.”

Sun Chu Sing:
is there a non fish choice?

Stigatus:

Commissar 314159:
Skill Check 85 VS. Target Number 34 Failure!

  • Reestheus walks up to Ballis.

Reestheus:
Prisoner, there will be no more experiments, no more questions. If you do not cooperate, you will meet your end. Tell us everything, or the Warp will embrace you for eternity.

  • Reestheus backhands Ballis.
  • Ballis Aleene straightens and fixes Reestheus with a stare

Ballis Aleene:
The Astronomicon you fool

Ballis Aleene:
They seek to create a heretical Astronomicon

  • Reestheus cocks an eyebrow and looks at Sun.

Ballis Aleene:
And in their hubris they will tear reality asunder!

Reestheus:
What will they do with it?

Sun Chu Sing:
“I said thats not possible.”

  • Ballis Aleene waves at sun dismissively

Sun Chu Sing:
only the Emperor has the will to control it, and he’s a god.

Commissar 314159:
“While not possible, can they cause damage in their attempt?”

Ballis Aleene:
They are blined by The Enemy.

Ballis Aleene:
They cannot see their own doom

Sun Chu Sing:
“How do we destroy this blasphemy?”

Ballis Aleene:
Can it be done? One must only look to The Eye to find the answer.

Sun Chu Sing:
“How do we destroy the false throne.”

Ballis Aleene:
Ballis will help you, though it may mean his death. But revenge will be bought regardless of cost.

  • Reestheus looks at the group and shrugs.

Commissar 314159:
“We will see this through, Ballis. They will regret their heresy, even if the price is our lives.”

  • Ballis Aleene hauls himself to his feet.

Ballis Aleene:
The core. The core fuels this profane experement

Commissar 314159:
“Do we get to the core through the armoury?”

Ballis Aleene:
The way in ;eads past the armory and its guardian

Reestheus:
…guardian?

Commissar 314159:
“Fortunate then we came to the battery.”

Ballis Aleene:
The armory master. His throne is his prison

  • Reestheus nods and helps Ballis to the door. “Right then, you lead the way. Sorry about the hit.”

Stigatus:
“Point the way, but let me lead, We have been able to bypass much of their security so far with honeyed words and quick witts”

  • Commissar 314159 continues on with the Navigator and Reestheus, “Is he a servitor, this master?”

Ballis Aleene:
You will have no such luck here I think against the spider in his web.
